Cowboys and Aliens DVD release Date

cowboys and aliens dvd coverYou can now! Pre-Order “Cowboys & Aliens” on DVD and Blu-Ray but the release date has not yet been set.

Cowboys & aliens DVD has been made available for pre-order and is already A top seller in the Westerns genre and surprisingly in the top 20 for the Science Fiction genre.

I guess even the mighty critics can get it wrong. “Cowboy & Aliens” is a movie with a classic plot and a few creative twists. After the civil War a Man Woodrow Dolarhyde is complaining about the generals at Autietam and every thing else, on top of that he has a good for nothing spoiled and drunken son that he has to contend with.

A stranger (Jake Lonergan) has a weird bracelet attached to his wrist and he seems not to be able to remember anything. There’s a beautiful young, gun-toting woman Ella Swenson that seem to be taken with the stranger and stranger yet has an idea of who the stranger is,

As criminals and Indians start attacking the town, and spaceships start blowing up everything is sight. The human’s band together to try to save them selves the movie gets’s its second wind as they say and things get really exciting.

The action scenes in “Cowboys & Aliens” are as good in any other alien invasion move and the aliens themselves are just as ugly and scary too. The main actors all do a good job, as does Keith Carradine as a sheriff and Sam Rockwell as a non-violent saloon owner who learns to shoot a rifle.

All said and done there are few movies that have crossed aliens, cowboys and a stranger that shoots lasers with a strange device attached to his arm. I liked this movie, but hey I not a professional I just like to be entertained and this movie did just that.

Four and a half stars, means you should absolutely add Cowboys & Aliens DVD or Blu-Ray to your buy list.

Cowboys and Aliens DVD Trailer Review

A man (Daniel Craig) wakes up in the desert, with no apparent recollection of how he got there. He has a strange metal device attached to his arm. He examines it, tries to get it off , then thinks “forget it” it’s not going to come off easily. Three grubby men ride up on horseback. “It’s not your lucky day son,” one of them proclaims, “get moving.”

After some punching, stabbing and shooting, plus a quick wardrobe change, our stranger is heading off toward town. (Most likely to get a good drink). Well what do you know, at the bar a pretty young thing (Olivia Wilde) walks up to him and after a brief encounter she says “you don’t remember anything.” Another split second, four surly, bearded men walk in calling out a name (the strangers?) and showing an old school warrant with his picture on it. (Oh-no he’s wanted buy the Feds!) Later while sitting in a jail cell the Boss (Harrison Ford) is told of the stranger’s arrival and heads to the jail to either get him or take him. Just then a light on that strange metal device I told you about earlier starts to blink. Sudden quiet — dogs start to bark; wind starts to howl; and lights start to appear in the sky a second later. It’s Pandemonium. Lasers hit the streets, explosions go off, and horsemen get lifted off their horses like dandelion seeds blowing in the wind. People start getting the heck out of dodge, as they say. And then the stranger fires a bolt of light at the invading spaceships… What did I say? Spaceships? Firing bolts of light!? Yes — I did, but just one bolt.

This is the opening for the trailer of the new “comic book to movie” Cowboys and Aliens. With all the si-fi movies that have come out lately Cowboys and Aliens could be a big flop or one of the coolest movies of the 2011 movie year. With some big name stars and some great TV-to-movie personalities, if any thing this movie is going to be a trip, and I’ll guarantee that! Based on just the trailer this is a movie that I want to see opening weekend for sure. plus if the movie is as good as I think it will be the Cowboys and aliens DVD will be on my wishlist.
